We want to welcome you to the American Haitian Federation.
Our mission is to improve quality of life of Haitians through education, health and economic development. We provide technical and financial assistance to regional organizations working in Haiti with the goal of becoming sustainable and striving to reach their full potential.
American Haitian Federation (AHF) currently works together with six regional organizations in the South of Haiti, providing much needed infrastructure support and training, as well as non-profit development, board and management training. We also provide small grant for affiliated regional organizations for infrastructure development and micro-development.
AHF is focusing its support on building capacity of the regional organizations because it has been identified as one of the areas of helping Haiti. More than 60% of Haitians live in provincial and rural areas. These areas receive little outside support for long term sustainability. With few organizations focusing in building regional local capacity, AHF has for mission to help regional organizations and commits its resources to helping these organizations to address the needs of men, women and children by improving the quality of their life.
